Operation Advocacy

Monday, February 20 (Training) +
Tuesday, February 21 (Legislative Meetings)

RSVP Here!

Join LINC and disability advocates from around the state to meet with our state legislators. We will share our personal stories and experiences trying to access direct care supports in Idaho.

On day one, we will meet fellow advocates, learn some new story telling skills, practice sharing our own stories, and take a quick tour of the state capitol. On day two, which is Fred Riggers Disability Awareness Day, we will meet with our legislators and educate them on the need for a strong direct care workforce.

Who should participate? People with disabilities who live, work and play in Idaho, particularly if you have concerns about the direct care workforce, transportation, housing and other issues that concern our communities.

Please RSVP here to let us know you are coming. We will call or email you to confirm and gather a bit more information. This will help us better plan for the event and make sure we have supports for participants. We also have a limited number of advocacy spots, so the earlier you register, the better.

Service dogs welcome. No pets please. Events take place at First Presbyterian Church and the Idaho State Capitol building, both of which are wheelchair accessible. More questions or ADA accomodations beyond what is provided in the event registration? Give us a call at (208) 336-3335.
