2nd Annual Operation Advocacy by LINC

2nd Annual Operation Advocacy

Duty Calls!

01.31.2024 - 02.01.2024

Join LINC and disability advocates from around the state to meet with our state legislators. We will share our personal stories and experiences trying to access direct care supports in Idaho.

The Day of Training will include a workshop on telling your story as well as a presentation on the Our Care Can't Wait campaign and the importance of voting.

The Day of Action will be at the Idaho Capitol building. Disability advocates from across Idaho will be there in celebration of Fred Riggers Disability Awareness Day. This provides many opportunities for scheduled and informal conversations with decision makers.

Who should participate? People with disabilities who live, work and play in Idaho, particularly if you have concerns about the direct care workforce, transportation, housing and other issues that concern our communities.

Don't miss this opportunity to have YOUR voice heard!

Please do register to let us know you are coming. We will call or email you to confirm and gather a bit more information. This will help us better plan for the event and make sure we have supports for participants. We also have a limited number of advocacy spots, so the earlier you register, the better.

Service dogs welcome. No pets please. Events take place at First Presbyterian Church and the Idaho State Capitol building, both of which are wheelchair accessible. More questions or ADA accomodations beyond what is provided in the event registration? Give us a call at (208) 336-3335.

In collaboration with the Our Care Can't Wait campaign and the CID Fred Riggers Disability Awareness Day.
